Friends and relatives of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star gathered together Sunday to help Kim and Kory Biermann celebrate their new baby. Co-stars Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks were present, and of course, Sweetie Hughes was there to assist her friend and employer.  Not surprisingly, there was no sign of frenemy NeNe Leakes.

"The cake was off-the chain with different layers of chocolate. Everything was gorgeous. They had a slide show and the photos of Kroy and Kim are just beautiful," said Jamie, who added that Lawrence Washington's heels were higher than his BFF Sheree Whitfield's.

When asked about the dominate blue color of the shower decorations, Kim confirmed the sex of the child via Twitter. “Yes, lots of blue! We are expecting a boy!!” she wrote.
 The sex of the child shouldn't be too much of a surprise, since Kim's psychic predicted as much.
 No word yet on whether a name has been selected. Kim already has two daughters. This will be her first boy.

Movie Time !

Taraji P. Henson is taking her acting chops to the golf course. The actress will be starring in an upcoming movie entitled From The Rough, a film based on the true story of Catana Starks, a former swim coach at Tennessee State University who became the first woman ever to coach a college men's golf team.
Now, this is the second time I would say we've seen Ms. Henson taking on a more serious approach in the film industry, if you remember her movie on Lifetime TV.


Summary: The golf coach played by Ms. Henson is tasked with building Tennessee State's first golf team and finding only one available African American golfer  Craig (played by Robert Bailey Jr.). Catana opened up the HBCU’s roster to underprivileged kids from other countries like France, Austrailia, Hong Kong and the UK. The film also features Michael Clarke Duncan, LeToya Luckett, Henry Simmons and Robert Bailey Jr.

UNICEF Celebrity Tap Project

The UNICEF Tap Project wants everyone to recognize the lifesaving importance of water. Celebrities who have joined our cause are even donating samples of their own tap water to help raise awareness of the world water crisis. Celebrities, have endoresed this campaign such as Rihanna & Selena Gomez.

They have added their name to Unicef’s tap water project, which urges restaurant owners to ask diners to pay $1 for tap water they would usually receive for free.

In one of the advertising posters highlighting the scheme, Rihanna poses next to a bottle of her personalised drink with the words: ‘Rihanna Tap Water. Not your typical tap water, unless of course, you live next door to Rihanna.’

New Artist Of The Week !

I so LOVE being introduced to new music and new artist. This weeks new artist is Gail Scott and her first single is "Jack N Jill". I was up late one night on concreteloop.com  they had posted Jill Scott's song "Jack N Jill". I listened, I liked and an idea for a new post was born. She was the one who told me she is associated with singer Tokyo Diiva (Bad Girls Club theme song) and Unique. Before I began working on this post I had to educate myself of course. From my research I learned that Gail Scott is also known as Scotty. She is 19 years old and she is a native of the Bronx, New York. She is signed to JeepBoyz Entertainment, Universal Motown and her debut album Tuff is expected to be dropping this summer. I also took it upon myself to check out her youtube channel, she is a really great vocalist. Not only that but she is one of those artist who has her own style and I really do admire her style.

A Good Cause

    

Using her celebrity status for a good cause, musician Keri Hilson teamed up with fashion retailer H&M and have joined their Fashion Against AIDS campaign. The campaign includes a unisex clothing line which 25% of all sales will go to the Designers Against AIDS charity.  

The only basketball love connection that could be made with Trina was her relationship with Nuggets player Kenyon Martin. Hold your tongue before you judge her validity of being a cast member... Evelyn never walked down the aisle, Royce is just a baby momma and Jen is on the first train to divorce court.... In all honesty, would you watch her show?


Last summer she shot her own reality show that was pitched to VH1 and is said to be appearing on Lala's show coming this summer.

Guess she thought it was time for change. There will not be a 3rd season of Tiny & Toya...Toya decided to try something different, and make a new name for herself. Teyana Taylor

 

I'm sure we all remember Miss. Taylor from MTV's Sweet 16 TV Show in 2007.

She has not announced a release date. She is a member of a band called U.G.L.Y. along with band mates Mijo, Braxton and Ethan.

 A snippet of U.G.L.Y.'s single "Wasted" was released early 2010. No further releases from the band have since been mentioned. Taylor has also ventured into acting. She has appeared in Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming


She is also appearing in a new movie by Tyler Perry. Madea's Big Happy Family o be released on April 22, 2011. She was also featured on a song by Kanye West, "Christmas in Harlem", released through Mr. West's G.O.O.D. Friday program.
