“I think there’s pressure on everybody; let’s not deceive ourselves. It’s definitely a beauty business,” she told the magazine “It [matters] how your face looks, how your body looks, how everything looks.… The blogs and magazines will be quick to show what’s wrong with a person, so I think there’ s a lot of pressure to try to maintain themselves as much as possible.”
The cover features a headshot of the actress — no fussy makeup, flashy clothes or piled on accessories, just her glowing skin, rosy makeup and softly curled hair. It really doesn’t look like Tika will be crumbling under the “pressure” anytime soon, but even if she’s aware of it, she also noted: “I don’t believe that everybody has to live up to this Hollywood beauty standard, because everybody’s not that.”
